Finished Tom Nesi’s book, “Poison Pills: The Untold Story of the Vioxx Drug Scandal.”
Chilling.
Sickening.
Everyone should read this story.
At least on the Chicago Tribune’s website, this story appeared in the Health section – not the local business or feature section. It didn’t address most of the things we think are crucial in a health story.
“Brown fat” has ignited a grease fire of media hype in recent weeks. This WebMD story missed a good opportunity to smother the flames.
We reviewed this story and a competing AP story on these new fibroid studies. Read and compare.

Thanks for posting this about Mr. Nesi. He was a careerist with BMS for 3 decades. In my opinion, for one at his stage in his lifespan to become so aware as he did of what is in the fact the truth about the industry of his former employer is admirable. It also is in fact very courageous to disregard aspects of his vocation and commitment upon his own volition as well.
