HealthNewsReview.org a Finalist for First-ever Mirror Awards
Created 05/29/07

We have been notified that our site is one of 23 finalists for a first-ever Mirror Award. The awards program, based at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, "honors the reporters, editors and teams of writers who hold a mirror to their own industry for the public's benefit. Honorees are recognized for news judgment and command of craft in reporting, analysis and commentary on developments in the media industry and its role in our economy, culture and democracy."

Details on the awards program are available online.

A news release announcing the finalists is also posted.

There were 140 entries. Of the 23 finalists, only 7 will be chosen for the Mirror Awards in different categories.

The awards ceremony is June 14 in New York City. Check back to see if HealthNewsReview.org is one of the final winners.
